Robin tweeted ‘It has been my greatest honor to represent my country and my state, Karnataka. However, all good things must come to an end Robin will always be remembered for his counter-attacking batting style in white-ball cricket. The batter made his international debut against England at the Nehru Stadium in 2006. After playing over 50-plus international games and 205 matches in the Indian Premier League (IPL) he ended his wonderful career with a tweet. The sporting legends around the world appreciate the person Robin has been inside and outside the field.

Uthappa has featured in all 15 seasons of the IPL, scoring 4952 runs in 205 appearances, at an average and strike rate of 27.51 and 130.35 respectively.
